During a run of seven seasons, from 1947 through 1953, the Brooklyn Dodgers were undeniably one of the best teams in all of Major League Baseball. Unfortunately, they didnt have even a single World Series title to show for it. The Dodgers made it to the Fall Classic in 1947, 1949, 1952 and 1953, only to fall short of the ultimate prize each time. What was even more frustrating as if the losses werent enough was the fact that on each of these occasions, the Dodgers were beaten by the cross-town New York Yankees, with the Series twice going the full seven games. At long last, and with great relief to all of their fans, the Dodgers finally crossed the finish line in 1955, reaching baseballs summit after an epic seven-game World Series victory. Their opponent? Naturally, the Yankees.

Offered is this Official National League Warren Giles baseball signed by 23 members of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers, the only World Series championship won while the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. All of the signatures have been signed in blue ballpoint pen and include Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston across the sweet spot. The north panel has the signatures of Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, Frank Kellert, Karl Spooner, Jim Gilliam, Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax and Russ Meyer (clubhouse). The south panel has Don Hoak, Pee Wee Reese (clubhouse), Johnny Podres, Chuck Templeton, Sandy Amoros, Hall of Famer Roy Campanella and Carl Erskine. The east panel with the Spalding stamp has an unidentified signature, Gil Hodges and George Shuba. The west panel has Clem Labine, Walt Moryn, Don Bessent, Ed Roebuck, Duke Snider (clubhouse) and Billy Loes (clubhouse). This ball displays minor toning, and the stampings are still clear. This comes with a LOA from JSA (XX18715) for the signatures.
